Ms. Abby-Marie Langford, age 12 departed this life Sunday, August 30, 2015 at her home after a two year courageous battle with osteosarcoma.
Abby entered this life on March 10, 2003 in Pulaski County Kentucky; she was the beloved daughter of Gary Wayne Langford Jr. and Sharon (Allen) Langford. She entered her Christian life July 7th, 2013 at Brodhead Baptist Church during Vacation Bible School. Abby found great joy in reading and electronic games; Abby brought great joy to others, her path in life, be it short, touched many lives; her dream wish became a reality at Disney Land, Sea World, and the San Diego Zoo, all adventures were made possible by the Make a Wish foundation.
Those left to celebrate her life/cherish her memory include, her parents: Gary Langford, Jr. and Sharon (Allen) Langford, her siblings: Jacob Blake Langford of Mt. Vernon KY., Zachary Wayne Langford of Mt. Vernon KY., Tyler Langford of Mt. Vernon KY., a foster brother: Dalton Lakes of McKee, KY., Melissa (Chris) Gross of Jackson, KY., and Cynthia Langford of Charlotte, North Carolina; her paternal grandparents: Gary Sr. and Colleen Langford; and her nephew: Brayden Gross, As well as a host of aunts/uncles, cousins, classmates and friends.
Abby was preceded in death by her, maternal grandparents: Walter and Joellen Miller Allen.
Abby leaves her life as a testimony to all of us to be courageous to live each day to its fullest.
In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to the Make A Wish Foundation, or the American Cancer Society.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, September 3rd, 2015 at 7PM at the Brodhead Baptist Church in Brodhead KY.; Bro. Ralph Baker will be officiating, special music by Brooklyn Bishop. Request you wear purple to honor and celebrate of Abby’s life.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3rd, 2015 at the Brodhead Baptist Church in Brodhead KY. beginning at 4PM until the celebration of Abby’s life at 7PM.
Abby– Marie Langford’s final resting place will be in Jackson Cemetery in Jackson, KY. Graveside service will be held on Friday, September 4th, 2015, at 12:30PM.
Casket bearers will be her: brothers, Jeff Carpenter, Daniel Carpenter and Chris Gross; Honorary Casket Bearers: Braydon Gross, Dalton Lakes, Carrie Mullins, Bailee Deboard, Noah Parkey, Bethany Cromer and Delani Reynolds
