Alex Scott Hooker

Mr. Alex Scott Hooker, 21 of Brodhead, husband of Samantha, passed away Tuesday, March 7th, 2017. He was born April 16th, 1995, in Danville, KY. to Scott and Ethel (Bishop) Hooker. On January 5th, 2013, Alex was united in Holy Matrimony to Samantha Vaughn and from that union came Scottie and Alexander. Alex enjoyed participating in Demo Derby’s, working on cars and most of all, spending time with family.

Those left to celebrate his life are: his wife of four years, Samantha Hooker of Brodhead, KY.; his children Scottie & Alexander Hooker of Brodhead, KY.; his parents Scott & Ethel Hooker of Stanford, KY.; his brother Andrew (Chelsey) Hooker of Stanford, KY.; his maternal grandparents Susie (Conrad) Denson & paternal grandparents Oakley (Lillie) Hooker; his nephew Tucker Lane Hooker; as well as many friends.

Alex was preceded in death by his brother Benjamin Hooker and his Aunt Leeann Denson Manuel.

Visitation for Alex Hooker will be held on Thursday, March 9th, 2017 from 6-9pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals. A second visitation will be held on Friday, March 10th, 2017 at the funeral home from 10am-1pm.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 10th, 2017 at 1pm at the funeral home with Chaplin Tim Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Negro Creek Cemetery.

Casket Bearers will be: Josh Merriot, Zack Gadd, Jacob Watkins, Ashton Stull, Willie Ashley, Blake Hasty, Justin Reese & Jeff Carpenter.
