Mrs. Anna Susie Chaney, age 93 of Brodhead, Ky., passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born December 27, 1922, a daughter of the late Jarvis Jackson and Fannie Owens Noe. She was a homemaker and a member of Freedom Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and traveling.
She is survived by her children: Dennis Wayne Chaney (Susan) of Independence, Ky., JoAnn LaFollette (Lee) of Morrow, OH. and Jim Chaney (Tina) of Atlanta, GA.; her grandchildren: Nicole Chaney Stout, Denise Chaney Jones, Vanessa Chaney Due, Dennis W. Chaney, Jr., Casie LaFollette Shelton, Dustin LaFollette, Ashley Chaney and Arica Chaney; ten great-grandchildren; brothers: Jack (Karen) Noe and James Noe all of Mt. Vernon, KY.; sisters: Margie Brown (Irvin) of Springdale, OH. and Agnes McKinney of Lockland, OH. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors including numerous loving caregivers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Woodrow Chaney whom she married September 17, 1949, and sisters: Sylvia Long and Delora Brown.
Visitation for Mrs. Chaney will be Saturday, October 1, 2016 , from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 3 pm at the funeral home chapel with Bro. David Sargent officiating. Burial will follow in the Freedom Baptist Church cemetery.
