Arlie Lee Renner

Mr. Arlie Lee Renner Sr. age 88 of Mt. Vernon, departed this life Tuesday, April 18th, 2017 at the Rockcastle County Hospital with family by his side.

Arlie entered into this life September 15th, 1928 in Sand Springs, KY. the son of the late William Thomas & Minnie Bradley Renner. On October 18th 1947 he was united in holy matrimony to the late Dorothy Mae Morris Renner and from that union came four children. Arlie was a Truck Driver for 35 years; and was a member of the Red Hill Baptist Church and attended Maretburg Baptist Church.

Those left to celebrate his life are his children:  Judy Baker of Harrodsburg, KY. ; Vickie & Joe Edd Barnes of Mt. Vernon, KY.; Arlie Lee Jr. & Patty Renner of Mt. Vernon, KY. and Sheila & Garry Hurst of Brodhead, KY. Nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren one great-great grandchild. Also a host of nieces/nephew, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his five brothers: Walter, Floyd, Oather, Sylvester & Lester Renner; and five sisters: Mattie Rowe, Hazel Bullock, Gracie Bishop, Bessie Walker & Maggie Cromer.

Visitation for Mr. Arlie Lee Renner Sr. will be held Wednesday, April 19th, 2017  from 6-9PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

Funeral Services for Mr. Arlie Lee Renner Sr. will be conducted Thursday, April 20th, 2017 at 1PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals, with Bro Wayne Harding officiating. Burial will follow in the Ottawa Cemetery.
