BRENDA SUE (CARROLL) OWENS

Mrs. Brenda Sue Owens, age 68 of Brodhead, Ky., passed away Tuesday, May 10th, 2016 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital.

She was born on April 19, 1948 in Brindle Ridge, KY., a daughter of the late James Sherman Carroll and Ida Mae Hopkins Carroll. Brenda worked on assembly for the Square D Company for 35 years and was a member of the Danville First Church of God. She loved flowers and going to church, but most of all Brenda will be remember for the love she had for her family.

Those left to celebrate her life are her children:   Jason Scott Owens of Brodhead, KY; Shannon Patrick Owens of Brodhead, KY; and Melissa Lynn Briggs (Bill) of Brodhead, KY. her grandchildren: Tayler Dawn (Brandon) Smith, Davidson Bishop, Ethan Chase Benge,  Abigail Mae Owens, four-step grand children: Alexus Johnson, Jessie, Jordan and Wyatt Briggs; two great grandchildren: Legend Chase Smith and Taegan Payne; three sisters: Jewelene Mefford (Paul) of Augusta, KY., Fernese Blevins of Brodhead, KY; and Wanda Faye Harness  of Nicholasville, KY. As well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides her parents: James Sherman and Ida Mae Carroll, Brenda was proceeded in death by her husband Marion Owens, and her brothers: Wayne and Leon Carroll.

Visitation for Brenda Sue Owens will be Friday, May 13, 2016 from 10AM until the Funeral at 1PM in the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel with Bro. Kevin Cummins officiating, Burial will follow in the Woodstock Cemetery.

Casket bearers are:  Shannon Owens, Bill Briggs, Trevor Cox, Brandon Smith, Griffin Harness and Mason Cox.
