Benny Craig

Mr. Benny Craig, 79, passed away Thursday, October 27th, 2016, at the Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation Center in Brodhead, KY., with family by his side. He was born October 18th, 1937, to the late Joe Sam and Nannie Susan (Elder) Craig in Rockcastle. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a School Bus Driver for 30 years. He belonged to the Providence Church of Christ where he took great enjoyment being involved in the church functions. He enjoyed gardening, watching sports and spending time with family. Mr. Benny Craig was a very simple man.

Those left to celebrate his life are his children Stacy (Gorman Shelley) Craig of Eubank, KY. and Corey (Emily) Craig of Mt. Vernon, KY.; his grandchildren Walker Carson Craig, Wyatt Kincade Craig and Wrett Isaacs Craig; a brother Gatliff (Nell) Craig of Brodhead, KY.; as well as a host of Nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, Mr. Benny Craig was predeceased by his sisters Mary McWhorter, Julia Hunt, Mabel Taylor and Martha Cope and brothers Clarence Craig (Infant), John Craig, Bill Craig, Jennings Craig and J.S. Craig, Jr.   

Visitation for Mr. Benny Craig will be held Friday, October 28th, 2016 from 5pm until 8pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals and Saturday from 2pm-3pm at the Providence Church of Christ. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, October 29th, 2016, at 3pm at the Providence Church of Christ with Bro. Josh & Danny McKibben officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery.

Casketbearers are Pat Craig, Chris Craig, Neil Craig, Jeffery Craig, Freddy Pruitt and Sonny Brandenburg

Honorary Casketbearer are all of his former school bus students.
