Mr. Rickie Dale Childress 57, of Brodhead Kentucky departed this life September 29, 2015 at his residence with his family by his side.
Rickie was born November 5, 1957 in Mt. Vernon Kentucky the son of the late Jesse and Rissie Hansel Childress. He worked as an Equipment Operator for ATS Construction for 13 years; He was an Army Veteran, Rickie enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Baptist faith, but most of all he loved his family. Rickie Dale Childress is survived by his children: Rachel Falin (Wesley) of Brodhead Kentucky, Monica (Chris) Hurst of Brodhead Kentucky and Spencer Childress of Brodhead Kentucky. Three grandchildren: Wessen Falin, Alizabeth Falin and Canaan Hurst. Seven brothers: Jesse, Benny (Judy), Danny (Connie), Kenny, Donnie, Terry “Bo” and Jerry (Rhonda) Childress. One sister: Kaye (Terry) Neal and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Rickie Dale Childress will be conducted Friday, October 2, 2015 at 1 PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel with Bro. Zandell Hasty and Bro. Barry Hurst officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 6-9PM at the Marvin E Owens Home for Funerals Casket bearers will be: Eric, Blake, Jake, Shawn, Chris Childress and Chad, Coby Neal. Honorary Casket bearers will be his Brothers.
