Connie Smith

Mrs. Connie Jane (Baldwin) Smith, age 58 of Brodhead passed away Friday, February 4th, 2016 at the Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation Facility.

She was born on March 4th, 1957 in Frankfort, Indiana, a daughter of Paul and Loretta Baldwin. Connie was an employee with the State of Kentucky, holding the position of Personnel Cabinet Deferred Compensation Staff Assistant. She was of the Baptist faith, and found great joy in scrapbooking, reading, jewelry making, traveling and crocheting. She also enjoyed participating in the choir at church, playing both piano and organ, and assisting with AWANA activities.  On October 15, 1983 she joined in holy matrimony to William Albert Smith II.

Those left to celebrate Connie’s life are her husband, William Albert Smith, II; her parents: Paul and Loretta Baldwin; her sister: Pamela J. (Wayne) King; her step children: Chad Benson Smith, and Meara (Garrett) Brown; her step grand-children: Trenton Oliver William Brown, Liam Alexander Smith, and Nylah True Smith; her nieces: Stephanie (Travis) West and Melissa (Justin) Feldman.  As well as a host of friends and neighbors.

Visitation for Connie will be Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 from 5-8PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016 at 2PM at Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Steve Vanhook officiating. Burial will follow in the Freedom Cemetery.
