Daniel Albert Barron

Mr. Daniel Albert Barron age 89, of Mt. Vernon Kentucky, departed this life January 1, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Daniel entered into this life April 16th, 1926 in High Dry, Kentucky, a son of the late Harvey and Pearlie Sweeney Barron.  He was of the Baptist faith and was a faithful viewer of W.L.J..C., and found great joy in mowing his yard, guns, knives and “trading”. 

Those left to celebrate his life are his children: Jimmy (Anita) Barron of Eubank, Ky; Jerry Barron of Brodhead, Ky; and Bonnie (Roger) Daughtery of Pongo, Ky; Grandchildren: Crystal Corbin, Jerry Dewayne Barron, Christopher Lee Barron, Jessica Danielle Barron, Jodi Gayle Daughtery, Matthew Derrik Cromer and Angela Helm.  Eight great grandchildren. Brother: Fred (Mamie) Barron of Maretburg, Kentucky. Sister: Flossie (Andrew) McFerron of Brodhead, Ky. As well as host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors. 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Locie Barron (11-28-2014), Brothers: Robert, Raymond and Ervin; Sisters: Alta McFerron and Anna Mae Anderson.

Visitation for Mr. Daniel Barron will be Monday, January 4th, 2016 from 5-8PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 5th, 2016 at 1PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Zandell Hasty and Bro. Eugene Gentry officiaiting; burial will follow in the Maretburg Cemetery.
