Mr. Donald Lee Hellard, age 59 of Mt. Vernon, passed away Thursday October 11th, 2017 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Donald was born on December 28, 1957, a son of the late Leonard Ray and Ima Jean Cress Hellard. He was of the Baptist faith, and found great joy in horses and working on cars, motorcycles and camping.
Those left to celebrate his life are his children: Scottie Lee (Samantha) Hellard of Mt. Vernon, Ky; Martha (Curtis) Broughton of Mt. Vernon, Ky; and Adam Hellard of Mt. Vernon, Ky; his brother: Albert (Carolyn) Hellard of Mt. Vernon, Ky; his sisters: Beverly Sandusky of Mt. Vernon, Ky; Loretta (Doug) Mink of Calloway, Ky., and Jodi Hellard of Mt. Vernon,Ky.; his grandchildren: Shyanne, Garrett, Mikey, Adam Jr., Adrianna and Amanda; a special niece, Tanya Mink; as well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild: Katina Bond; and a brother, Billy Ray Hellard.
Visitation for Donald will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 11AM-1PM at Sandhill Baptist Church, with Funeral services conducted at 1PM with Bro. Elzie Doan officiating; burial will follow in the Sandhill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Donald Lee Hellard Burial fund at P.O. Box 658, Brodhead, Ky.
