Miss Dorothy Duvall, age 90, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Saturday September 24th, 2016, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY. Miss Duvall was born in Crab Orchard, Kentucky, on November 7th, 1925, to the late Owen and Hettie (Rigsby) Duvall. She worked as a secretary for the First Security Bank for 25 years. She was also a member of the Preachersville United Methodist Church and the Lexington Business Professional Woman’s Club. In her spare time Miss Duvall enjoyed collecting ceramic frogs and cardinals.
Those left to celebrate her life are five nieces: Gail Keith, Cheryl Greenhill, Janet Parsons, Karen Hendrix and Susan Moore; four nephews: Ron Duvall, David Duvall, Mike Duvall and Gary Duvall; a special friend Freda Wurtele; as well as great, great great and great great great nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Miss Duvall, was preceded in death by five brothers: Raymond Duvall, Clarence Duvall, Henry Duvall, Bobby Duvall and Sam Duvall; a sister Marie Duvall (Burton); a nephew Philip Duvall and a niece Sandra Davidson.
A graveside service will be held for Miss Dorothy Duvall on Wednesday September 28th, 2016, at 11:00am at the Lancaster Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Thompson officiating.
