Elizabeth (Northern) Woodall

Mrs. Elizabeth Woodall, age 96 of Brodhead, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation Facility.

She was born on April 17, 1919 in Corbin, Ky., a daughter of the late Bill and Maggie Vaughn Northern.  She attended Brodhead Baptist Church, and found great joy in quilting, flowers, cooking and bingo.  In 1937 she was united in marriage to Leonard Woodall, and from that union came fifteen children.

Those left to celebrate her life are  her children: Benny Woodall, Donnie (Carolyn) Woodall, Henry (Nadine) Woodall, Jerry (Verva) Woodall, Teddy (Kim) Woodall , Danny Woodall and Brenda Woodall  all of Brodhead, KY;  Glynn Rose Lake of Cincinnati, Oh, Betty Lou Renner of Mt. Vernon, KY.,  and Patsy (Wayne) Schumacher of Fairfield, Oh;  twenty  eight grandchildren ; twenty five great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces/nephew, friends and neighbors.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five children: Charles “Chunky” Woodall, Leslie Woodall, Jimmy Woodall, Jenny Woodall and Ricky Woodall; and a grandchild: Jason Woodall.

Visitation for Mrs. Elizabeth Woodall will be Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 6-9PM and Friday, April 1, 2016 from 11A-1PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 1, 2016 at 1PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Randal Adams officiating; burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery.
