Mr. Elthur Damrell, age 66, of Brodhead, passed away, March 3, 2006 at his residence.
He was born on January 19, 1940 in Flat Gap, Ky., a son of the late Floyd and Martha Forbes Damrell. He was a member of the Holiness faith, had operated a wrecking yard in Flat Gap, and had been an eight year employee at Williams Funeral Home in Berea. His hobbies and interest include flea marketing, knives and guns. On May 28, 1959 he was united in marriage to Martha Lee Durham, and from that union came six children-Billy Ray, Debra, Tony, Donnie, Terri and Greg.
Those left to mourn his passing include his children-Billy Ray Damrell of Berea; Debra Dooley of Brodhead; Tony Damrell and wife Judy of Berea; Donnie Damrell and wife Michelle of Berea; Teri Damrell of Richmond; and Greg Damrell of Brodhead. Thirteen grandchildren-Derek, Brittany, Austin, Elliot, Daron, Mitchell, Miranda, Samantha, Casey, Dustin, Chelsea, Payton and Austin. Brothers-James, Junior, Bob and John; Sisters-Opal, Urualene and Irene. Five great grand-children-Destiny, Emily, Aaron, Alexis, & Joseph. As well as a host of friends and neighbors.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Lee Durham Damrell, a brother-Sherman and a sister-Helen.
Funeral services for Mr. Damrell will be Sunday, March 5, 2006 at 2pm at the Marvin E. Owens Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-2PM prior to services at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Damrell-Durham Cemetery.
