Everett Arnold Harrison

Mr. Everett Arnold  Harrison, age  81, of Brodhead, Ky., husband of Agnes Harrison, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at home surrounded by family.

He was born on February 12, 1935 in Brodhead, KY., a son of the late Arthur Lee Harrison, Sr. and Ollie Smothers Harrison. He was of the Pentecostal faith, and found great joy in fishing, his greenhouse, growing plants and his pet chickens.  He was fondly known as a member of the Dairy Delite Club.  Everett was a farmer and loved the land.  He proudly served his country in the US Air Force.  On January 14, 1953 he was united in marriage to Agnes Collett and from that union came six children-Pearl, Charlotte, Barbara, Wayne, Wilbur and Jo Ann.

Those left to celebrate his life are: his wife of sixty-three years, Agnes Harrison of Brodhead, Ky; his children: Pearl (Oppie) Sowder of Brodhead, Ky; Charlotte (Gary) Hendricks of Brodhead, Ky; Barbara Frith of Brodhead, Ky; Wayne Harrison of Brodhead, Ky; and Wilbur  (Tammy) Harrison of Brodhead, Ky;  his grandchildren: Rodney, Jennifer, Ruthie, Kristy, Ella, Josh, Jessica and Michelle; his great grandchildren: Brandon, Cella, Harley, Tyler E., Tyler H., Eric, Madison, Tanner, Johnathan, Kacee, Jacob and Jack; three great-great grandchildren: Liam, Preston, and Aubrey his brothers: Hobert Harrison of Rhode Island; Willard Harrison of Brodhead, Ky.; Melvin (Lela Mae) Harrison of Mt. Vernon, Ky; Norman (Betty) Harrison of Ohio; Ervin Harrison of Brodhead, Ky;  and Ronnie Harrison of Brodhead, Ky;  his sisters: Ruby (Avery) Wilson of Richmond, Ind.; and Lorene (Russell) Jones of Goshen, Oh; and son-in-law: Donnie Barnes.  As well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ann Barnes; brothers, Arthur Harrison, Jr. and sisters, Dorothy Stevens and Mary Ruth Harrison.

Visitation for Mr. Everett Harrison will be Sunday, May 1st, 2016 from 6-9PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May2nd, 2016 at 2PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel with Bro. Tracy Valentine officiating.  Burial will follow in Oakhill Cemetery.
