Mr. Everette “Red” Cash, age 83, husband of Geraldine, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the Compassionate Care Center.
He was born on April 4, 1933 in Quail, Ky., a son of the late Jack and Effie Lizzie Brown Cash. He was a member of Providence Church of Christ, and found great joy in antique cars, being outside, yard work, keeping his school bus clean; watching old westerns; Florida trips and his grandchildren. He had been a school bus driver for fourty three years; the kids enjoyed him, as much as he enjoyed them. On April 2, 1955 he was united in holy matrimony to Geraldine Warren, and from that union came a daughter, Melissa.
Those left to celebrate his life are his wife of 61years, Geraldine Cash of Brodhead, KY; his daughter: Melissa Gail (Lee) Blevins of Weeki Wachee, Florida; his grandchildren: Cache (Christine) Blevins of Brooksville, Florida; and Chance (Danielle) Blevins of Springhill, Florida; his great grandchildren: Chasity, Corbin, Charity, Cordelia, Zadie and Myla Blevins; his brother: Albert Cash of Brodhead, KY; his sisters: Dorothy (Leonard “Red”) Bishop of Brodhead, KY; and Alma Jean Cable of Brodhead, KY; as well as a host of nieces/nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors, specifically his school bus friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Edna Pope.
Visitation will be Friday, June 10, 2016 from 6-9PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11AM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Pastor Cache Blevins, Lee Blevins, and Danny McKibben officiating; burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Donations may be made in “Red” Cash’s memory to Compassionate Care Center, Richmond, KY.
