Evonda Carol (Ball) Northern

Mrs. Evonda Carol Northern, age 66 of Orlando, Ky. passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Rockcastle Hospital.

She was born on November 29, 1951 in Berea, Ky., a daughter of the late Rovie Lee Ball and Ardella Ball Thompson.  Evonda had been an assistant Postmaster for 17 years.  She was a  15 year member of Crossroads Assembly of God Church, and found great enjoyment in Bluegrass festivals and her children.  On April 20, 1968 she was united in holy matrimony to Jerry Northern, and from that union came two children: Stephanie and Brian.

Those left to celebrate her life are: her husband of 49 years, Jerry Northern of Orlando, Ky; her daughter: Stephanie Northern of Berea, Ky; her sisters: Rhonda (Ronnie) Stevens of Brodhead, Ky; and Donna Zehr of Berea, Ky;   nieces: Pam (Darwin) McGuire; Jessica Collins, Angela (Steve) Miller; nephews: Anthony (Amanda) Owens, Chris (Terra) Collins; and Eric Zehr.  Special great niece: Kendra Kelley. As well as a host of friends and neighbors.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brian Northern and an infant brother, Harold Denver Ball.

Funeral Services for Evonda will be held at 3PM on Thursday, January 25th, 2018 at the Crossroads Assembly of God with Bro. Steve Vanhook officiating. Burial will follow in Briarfield Cemetery.

Family will receive friends and family at the church on Thursday from 11AM until the funeral hour.
