Franklin Dee Bond

Franklin Dee Bond, age 78, of Orlando, KY., passed away Monday, April 10th, 2017 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born on June 23rd, 1938, in Rockcastle County to the late William Franklin & Mary Bell (Moore) Bond. He had worked for the Trane A/C Company in Lexington, KY. for 28 years before he had retired. He enjoyed watching U.K. Basketball, hunting, fishing and he loved to go to the old Jean’s Restaurant that used to set right off of Exit 59 in Orlando, KY. He was a member of the Brush Creek Holiness Church and attended Flat Rock; he was also a member of the 25 year club through the Trane Company.

Those left to celebrate his life are his: children Jeffery (Danita) Bond & Brian Kieth (Earlene) Bond both of Orlando, KY., Nelson Dee (Gail) Bond of Mt. Vernon, KY., and Terenia D. Bond Isaacs of Richmond, KY.; grandchildren Jeffery Jr., Carlista Kate, & Byron Bond; Taylor & Travis Isaacs; great-grandchildren Jacob, Kandence, Teagon, & Xavier Bond; Jaden Clemons, Braxton & Asher Isaacs; Jaitavious Mullins; brothers Lee, Lloyd & Elmer Bond; sister Sally Mason; as well as many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, Franklin was preceded in death by his brothers Floyd (infant), Bill, Ira, Lenard & Ross; and sisters Alene McGuire & Ada Robinson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13th, 2017, from 6-9pm at the Brush Creek Holiness Church.

Funeral services will be conducted 1pm on Friday, April 14th, 2017, at the church with Bro. Lonnie McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in Briar Field Cemetery.
