Mr. Garry Taylor, age 66, of Crab Orchard, husband of Janet passed away Tuesday, November 15th, 2016, at the Lake Cumberland Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center with family by his side. He was born in Stanford, KY., on April 23rd, 1950, to the late Delmus Greene and Elizabeth Nadeene (Stevens) Taylor. Garry was united in Holy Matrimony to Janet Reynolds on June 14th, 1969, and from that union came two children, Rita and Michelle. He was a farmer by trade, a cabinet maker and was a mechanic for Red Wing Shoes. Garry was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
Those left to celebrate Garry’s life are his wife of 47 years, Janet Taylor of Crab Orchard; his children Rita Dawn (Billy Shawn) Brown of Brodhead, KY. and Michelle Marie (Joshua) Martin of Brodhead, KY.; grandchildren A.J. Martin and D.J. Martin; a brother Larry (Pam) Taylor of Willailla, KY.; an Uncle Jr. Taylor of Crab Orchard, KY.; as well as many friends and neighbors.
Garry was predeceased by his parents.
Visitation for Garry Taylor will be held Thursday, November 17th, from 5pm until 8pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 18th, at 2pm at the funeral home with Bro. Curt Herrington officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Church of Christ Cemetery.
