Mr. Gerald Gambrel, 86, of London, KY., passed away Monday, January 9th, 2017, at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, KY., with family by his side.
He was born on December 16th, 1930, to the late Roy and Mable Farmer Gambrel in Dayhoit, KY. On April 19, 1962 Mr. Gambrel was united in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Yvonne Sue Smith. He took great joy in fishing, hunting and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
Those left to celebrate his life are: his children Bill Gambrel of London, KY., Cora Olivas of Tuson, AZ., and Debbie Delaney of Mt. Vernon, KY.; grandchildren Zacary & Nychole Holcomb, Candice Kappes, Roy & Devon Gambrel, Chris, Tony & Aaron Acevedo, Douglas & Chase Delaney; ten great-grandchildren; one sister Lillie (Ron) Howard of Mt. Sterling KY.; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.
Besides his parents, Mr. Gambrel was preceded in death by: his wife Yvonne Sue Gambrel; two children Mary Ann Gambrel and Nancy Holcomb, one brother Daniel Gambrel.
Visitation for Mr. Gerald Gambrel will be held on Thursday January 12, 2017 from 6-9PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday January 13, 2017 at 10AM with Bro. Keith Short officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery Orlando, KY.
