Harlan (Benji) Benjamin Lawson

Mr. Harlan (Benji) Benjamin Lawson, age 40 of Brodhead, Ky. departed this life on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at home surrounded by family.

He was born on August 31, 1975 in Mt. Vernon, Ky. a son of Barbara Sturgill Lawson Durham and Gary Lawson.  He was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church, and found great pleasure in the outdoors, particularly fishing.  He had previously been employed at Henson Stone Quarry in Mt. Vernon, Ky.

Those left to celebrate his life are his mother: Barbara Sturgill Lawson Durham of Brodhead, Ky., his father: Gary Lawson of Mt. Sterling Ky., the loving mother of  his children: Lesa Burke, his son: Christopher Toby Lawson of Sandhill, Ky; his daughter: Kayla Grace Lawson of Sandhill, Ky; his brothers: Robert Wayne Lawson & companion Anna Margaret Stevens of Brodhead, Ky; and David Lee Durham of Winchester, Ky; Special aunt and uncle: Kenneth and Dora Sturgill; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by a sister: Teresa Lawson Willis.

Visitation for Harlan Benjamin Lawson will be Tuesday, March 29th, 2016 from 2PM -4:30PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 29th, 2016 at 4:30PM with Bro. Phillip Doan and Bro. Dennis Doan officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirby Cemetery at Calloway, Ky.
