JAMES EVERETT MCCLURE

Mr. James “Everett” McClure, age 77, husband of Ruby Faulkner McClure, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Kentucky.

He was born on July 15, 1938, in Level Green, Kentucky, the son of the late William “Arlus” and Cassie Hibbard McClure.  He was a member of the Crab Orchard Church of Christ.  Everett was a dedicated hard-working family man whose family and friends knew him for his gentle and kind ways.  He found joy in coon hunting, reading, gardening, enjoying the great outdoors, and raising dogs, horses, and cattle. 

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife, Ruby Faulkner McClure of Brodhead, KY; his children: Debra (Bill) Spratt of McDonough, GA; Connie (Johnny) Jones of Hagerhill, KY; and Randy (Angela) McClure of Mt. Vernon, KY; his grandchildren: Daniel Akins, Matthew (Kelli) McClure, John “Dustin” (Andrea) Jones, Derek (Leslie) Jones, Jessica (John) Cowie, Rebecca Spratt and Dillon Jones; his eight great-grandchildren, as well as family, friends, and neighbors.

Visitation for Everett McClure will be held on Thursday, April 21st from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals in Broadhead, Kentucky.  Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, April 22nd at 1:30 p.m. with Bro. Mark Raulerson officiating; burial will follow in Cresthaven Cemetery.
