J.R. Stewart

Mr. J.R. Stewart, age 61, husband of Linna, passed away Sunday, December 25th, 2016, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. Mr. Stewart was born on March 25th, 1955, to the late Bill and Roberta (Jackson) Stewart in Manchester, KY. On December 9th, 1989, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Linna and from that union came three sons; Rodney, Curtis and Billy Keith. He worked as a mechanic at David’s Tire Center for 23 years. He enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife of 27 years, Linna Stewart; his sons Rodney (Tonya) Stewart of Coppercreek, KY., Curtis (Brittany) Bullock of Somerset, KY. and Billy Keith (Tiffany) Stewart of Somerset, KY.; his grandchildren Tyler Holman, Brandon Stewart, Madison Stewart, Madison Hysinger, Kaydence Summer Rose Stewart and Hunter Stewart; his great grandchild Liam Stewart; his brothers Edd, Ledford and Melvin Stewart; his sisters Rose Mills, Sally Smith, Cleo Metcalf, Virgie Hall, Beulah Jackson, Malvery Grubb and Margeret Walker; as well as many nieces and nephews whom loved him dearly, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, J.R. was preceded in death by his brothers Lester and Hence Stewart.

Visitation for Mr. Bill Stewart will be held Tuesday, December 27th, 2016, from 6pm-9pm as well as Wednesday, December 28th, 2016, from 10am-2pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday December 27th, 2016, at 2pm at the funeral home with Bro. Zandell Hasty and Buford Parkerson officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requested that donations be made to the funeral fund.
