James Anthony Mason

James Anthony Mason, 51 of Mt. Vernon, passed away March 14th, 2017 at his residence with family by his side. James was born on August 6th, 1965 in Berea, KY., a son of the late James Cleveland Mason and Beatrice (Rasnick) Sigmon. He was a truck driver by trade, which he greatly enjoyed. James enjoyed racing cars, working on cars, driving semi-trucks; but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was a member of the Livingston Fire Department and a former member of the Livingston Masonic Lodge.

Those left to celebrate James’ life are: his children Brittney (Jeff) Mclemore of Mt. Vernon, KY., Corey Mason of Richmond, KY., Jenson Mason of Stanford, KY. & James Casey Mason of Brodhead, KY.; his grandchildren Jaden Minton, Katelynn Minton & Eloise Dowell; his brother Billy Mason of Mt. Vernon, KY.; his sister Martha (Orville) Sheppard of Livingston, KY.; a caregiver and special friend Jennifer Mason; a special friend Debra Tanner; as well as many friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Sue (Foster) Mason.

A visitation will be held at the Livingston Pentecostal Church for James Mason on Thursday, March 16th, 2017 from 6pm-9pm.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 17th, 2017 at 12pm at the church with Bros. Robert Miller & Jim Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Casket Bearers will be: Eddie Mink, Mike Leger, Chris Mason, Russell Barron, BJ Mason & Jarrett Burke.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of James Mason may be made to the funeral home for the burial fund.
