Mr. Jasper Brown, age 82 of Eubank, KY departed this life Wednesday, October 25th, 2017 at his residence. He was born on October 25th, 1935 in Crab Orchard, KY to the late Abe Harrison & Susie (Barker) Brown. On October 15th, 1969 he was united in Holy Matrimony to Janet Fayrene Denney and from that union came Abe Harrison Brown. They had enjoyed 48 years together prior to his passing. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Pvt. 1st Class Tank Operator. He attended the Oak Grove Church of Christ and he greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, working puzzle books, farming, and having coffee at Wards Restaurant while fellowshipping with friends. He also belonged to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 162.
Those left to celebrate his life are: his wife of 48 years, Janet Brown of Eubank, KY; his son Abe Harrison (Lora Marie) Brown of Orlando, KY; his grandchildren Janelle Lashay Brown & Cortney Marie Brown; his brothers Shirle (Delsey) Brown of Crab Orchard, KY & Joseph (Norma) Brown of OH; his sisters Dovie Lou New of Somerset, KY, Glenda (Roger) Campbell of Nancy, KY & Sadie Mae Carr of Newton, NC; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.
Besides his parents, Jasper was preceded in death by his brother Frank Brown; sisters Margie Brayley, Edith Thompson, Verbina Engman and Vivian Brown.
Visitation for Jasper Brown will be held from 6-9PM on Friday, October 27th, 2017 at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
Funeral services will be conducted 1PM Saturday, October 28th, 2017 at the funeral home with Bro. Thadius Eubank officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery with Military Rites.
