Karen Gay Leger, 58 of Berea, wife of William “Tubby” Leger departed this life Thursday, November 16th, 2017 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on April 26th, 1959 in Berea, KY to Elmer Lee and Betty Ruth (Brock) Chasteen. On April 22nd, 1978 she was united in Holy Matrimony to William “Tubby” Leger and from that union came William Anthony Leger. She took great joy in photography, crafting and scrapbooking.
Those left to celebrate her life are: her husband of 39 years, William “Tubby” Leger; her son William Anthony Leger of Mt. Vernon, KY; her father Elmer Chasteen of Coppercreek, KY; her grandchild Myla Anne Leger; her sisters Denise Miller and Donna (Jerry) Gray both of Coppercreek, KY; her sister-in-law Deanna (Larry) Mullins & Oma Leger; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.
Besides her mother, Betty Ruth, Karen was preceded in death by her brother Gary Chasteen and brother-in-law Lonnie Miller.
Visitation for Karen will be held from 5-8PM Saturday, November 18th, 2017 at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday at 2PM at the funeral home with Bro. Donnie Pingleton officiating. Burial will follow in Leger Cemetery.
