Lucille Renner

Mrs. Lucille Renner, age 76, of Mt. Vernon, KY., passed away Wednesday September 21st, 2016, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Lucille Renner was born in Pineville, KY., on March 3rd, 1940, to the late Dudley and Cordelia (Rowe) Taylor. She was a homemaker that was of the Christian faith. Lucille enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with family. She was also was an avid shopper and “yard sale hunter”.

Those left to celebrate her life are: her children Charlie (Laura) Roark of Dothan, Ala., Billy (Ashley Bell) Scalf of Berea, KY., James (Elizabeth) Scalf of Mt. Vernon, KY., Bootsie (Shawn) Morgan of Nashville, TN., John (Shirley) Scalf of Mt. Vernon, KY., Leslie Scalf of Mt. Vernon, KY., Shelly (Luke) Pearson of Berea, KY. and Robbie Dean (Larrisa Mays) Renner of Winchester, KY.; as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Lucille Renner, was preceded in death by her two husbands: William Blackburn Scalf and Freddie Renner; an infant Pearl Scalf; as well as four brothers and two sisters.

Visitation for Mrs. Lucille Renner will be held Saturday September 24th, 2016, at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals from 10am until the funeral hour of 2pm with Bro. Chris Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at the Piney Grove Cemetery in Brodhead, KY.
