Lucy E. Pumphrey, age 78, wife of William Ronald Pumphrey, passed away Sunday, June 4th, 2017 at the Diversicare of Nicholasville. She was born on June 18th, 1938 in Hazel Patch KY. to the late Stallard and Ollie (Newcomb) Travillian. On May 25th, 1975 she was united in Holy Matrimony to William Pumphrey. She was a member of the Union City Christian Church and she enjoyed gardening, flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to celebrate her life are: her husband of 42 years, William Ronald Pumphrey; her children, Donnie (Debbie) Lunsford and Randy (Brenda) Lunsford of Nicholasville, KY.; her step-children, Oscar Shannon Pumphrey of King Mountain, KY., Cricket Lynn Pumphrey of Sadieville, KY, and Veronica Jo Carol Lee of Sadieville, KY.; her grandchildren, Vernon Benett Lunsford, Brandie Lee Rivera and Juliana Wessell; her great-grandchildren, Tiffani Brooke Rivera and Leeiah Mane Rivera; her sister, Anna Lois (Holt) Carpenter of Livingston, KY., Jewel Bullock of Mt. Vernon, KY., and Carol (Don) Jones of Mt. Vernon, KY.; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.
Besides her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her brothers Larry and Garrett Travillian.
Visitation for Lucy will be held from 10am-12pm on Wednesday, June 7th, 2017 at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with the funeral service following at 12pm with Bro. Arthur Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at the Bales Cemetery in Livingston, KY.
Casket Bearers will be: Steven Rivera, Vernon Lunsford, Dave Wessel, Shannon Pumphrey, David Carpenter, and Travis Ping.
