Pauline (Sams) Shepherd

Mrs. Pauline Shepherd, 82 of Livingston, departed this life on Friday, December 1st, 2017 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on December 24th, 1934 in Piney Branch, KY to the late John Earl & Kitty (Belle) Sams. On February 23rd, 1952 she was united in Holy Matrimony to Roy Shepherd and from that union came Orville, Elaine, Jennie, John & Kitty. She had retired from the Wal-Mart in Berea, KY with 15 years of service as a sales associate. She had attended the Pine Hill Holiness church and very much loved her family and tending to her flowers.

Those left to celebrate her life are: her children Orville (Martha) Shepherd of Livingston, KY, Elaine (Marty) Mullins of Mt. Vernon, KY, Jennie Martin of Renfro Valley, KY, & John (Nikki) Shepherd of Winfield TN; her grandchildren Jessica Shepherd, Jay Shepherd, Nicole Nicely, Kimberly Gibson, Jamie Phillips, Tawana Collins, Tori Smith, Samuel Martin, Daniel Martin, Sarah Smith, Abby Shepherd, Alivia Shepherd & Landyn Shepherd; her 19 great-grandchildren; her brothers Wade Sams, Charlie (Sadie) Sams & Vernon (Pam) Sams all of Richmond, IN; her sisters Janet Miller of Jackson, KY, Cora Gray & Joyce Tipton (Jesse) both of Richmond, IN; as well as many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Shepherd; her daughter Kitty Phillips; her grandson Stacey Mullins; and her brother Buster Sams.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 5th, 2017 at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals at 2PM with Bro. Allen Hensley officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 4th, 2017 from 5PM-8PM and also on Tuesday from 12PM until the funeral hour.

Casket Bearers will be Blaine Collins, Trevis Gibson, Daniel Martin, Billy Mason, John Shepherd, Orville Shepherd & Ryan Roberts.

Burial will follow in the Sams Cemetery in Livingston, KY.
