Mr. Ralph J. McFerron, age 78 of Brodhead, Ky; passed away Thurs. January 12, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, Ky.
He was born on September 21, 1938 in Rockcastle County, a son of the late Milt and Lillie McFerron. He was of the Church of Christ faith, who found great enjoyment in fishing. He had been a truck driver and farmer. On August 8, 1985 he was united in marriage to Maria Garolvia and they enjoyed 31 years together.
Those left to celebrate his life are his wife Maria McFerron of Brodhead, Ky; Step children: David Barron of Brodhead, Ky; and Janet Churchhill of Crawfordsville, Ind; three step grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Russell McFerron; and sisters: Alma Evans, Lavern Johnson and Elizabeth Evans; step daughter: Elizabeth Barron.
A memorial service for Mr. Ralph McFerron will be conducted at 12:00PM on Saturday, January 21st, 2016, at the Sand Spring Baptist Church with Bro. Bently Miller officiating. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10:00AM.
