Rebecca Lynn Barron, 20, of Mt. Vernon, KY., passed away Sunday, February 26th, 2017, at the U.K. Hospital in Lexington, KY., with family by her side. She was born July 1st, 1996 in Somerset, KY., to Billy Barron and Nancy (Bradley) Ramsey. Rebecca attended both Sand Springs Baptist Church and Scaffold Cane Baptist Church, and she enjoyed riding four wheelers, fishing, gardening, going to yard sales, John Deer, watching U.K. Basketball, listening to country, and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. She was also a member of the Future Homemakers of America.
Those left to celebrate her life are: here parents Billy (Karen) Barron of Mt. Vernon, KY., and Nancy (Gary) Ramsey of Mt. Vernon, KY.; her grandparents: Jack (Paulette) Bradley of Mt. Vernon, KY. and Mattie McFerron Barron of Mt. Vernon, KY.; step-grandparents: Doris Jean Graham of Mt. Vernon, KY. and John David (Katherine) Harding of Mt. Vernon, KY.; her brothers: Jesse and Gary Ramsey; her sisters: Elizabeth Barron, Katelyn Barron, Amanda Ramsey and Cassidy Ramsey; as well a loving family of many Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceeded in death by: her son Braxton Ray Barron on February 18th, 2017; her grandfather: Russell Baron, husband of Mattie; her step grandfather: Russell Ramsey, husband of Doris; and two special Uncles: Jackie “Jo Jo” Bradley Jr. and James Russell Barron Jr.
Visitation for Rebecca & Braxton Barron will be held on Tuesday, February 28th, 2017 from 5pm-9pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 1st, 2017, at 2pm at the funeral home with Bros. James Hardin & Eugene Gentry officiating. Burial will follow in Sowders Cemetery.
Casketbearers are: Billy Barron, Elizabeth Barron, Micheal Bradley, Jamie Bradley, J.D. Bradley, Justin Barron and Danny Barron.
Honorary casketbearers are all of her Uncles and cousins.
