Ricky D. Harris

Mr. Ricky D. Harris, age 63 husband of Iola, of Berea, Ky.  passed away Monday, August 21st, 2017 at Baptist Health in Lexington. He was born on May 11th, 1954 to Arthur Jr. & Preda (Bishop) Harris in Berea, KY. On Feburary 7th, 1982 he was united in Holy Matrimony to Iola Leger and from that union came Ashley & Ricky Jr. He was a truck driver by trade having driven over the road for 20 years. Ricky enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Those left to celebrate his life are: his wife of 35 years Iola Harris; his mother, Preda Harris of Brodhead, Ky.;  his children Ashley (Jon) Sanders of Mt. Vernon, KY & Ricky Harris Jr. of Berea, KY; his grandchildren Jake, Haley & Ashton Sanders; his brothers Terry Harris, Troy (Sheryl) Harris & John (Worth Ann) Harris, all of Brodhead, KY; his sister Donna (Steve) Howard of Livingston, KY; his very special brothers & sisters in law; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Harris, Jr.   

Visitation will be held from 6-9PM on Thursday, August 24th, 2017 at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1PM on Friday, August 25th, 2017 at the Funeral Home with Bros. Tony Shelton & Greg Lakes officiating. Burial will follow in Ottawa Cemetery.
