Mr. Robert Earl Graves, age 65 of Mt. Vernon, Ky. passed away Wed. October 18, 2017 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
He was born on January 14, 1952 in Cincinnati, Ohio, a son of the late Charles Calvin and Mary Ellen Jenner Graves. Robert proudly served his country during the Vietnam Era in the US Navy. He had been a 30 year truck driver for a freight company. Robert found great joy in automotive work.
Those left to celebrate his life are: his daughter, Starla Elaine (Ben) Whitaker of Mt. Vernon, Ky; his brothers: Darryl (Vicky) Graves of Stanford, Ky., Denis Graves of Mt. Vernon, Ky., Ernie Graves of South Carolina, and Nelson Graves of Somerset, Ky. His grandson: Nathaniel Graves, as well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Freda Graves , brother, Ronald Graves and son, Charles Graves.
Visitation for Mr. Robert Graves will be Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 11Am-1PM with funeral services conducted at 1PM with Bro. Wendell Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Graves-Stevens Cemetery in Sandsprings, Ky.
