Russell E Ramsey

Mr. Russell E. Ramsey, age 83 of Mt. Vernon, passed away Friday, November 20th, 2015 at the Hospice Care Plus Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Ky.

He was born on Sept. 4th, 1932 in Well Hope, Ky., a son of the late William Burge and Lula May Renner Ramsey. He was a retired diamond salesman who enjoyed horse racing and people in general. 

Those left to celebrate his life are his children: Billy Russell of  Mt. Vernon, Ky. Linda Raider (Gerald)of Indiana, Debbie Bullock(Keith), Bobby Ramsey, Diane Ramsey of Mt. Vernon, Ky., Gary Ramsey (Nancy) of Mt. Vernon, Ky., Cody Ramsey (Heather) of Mt. Vernon, Ky.,  Zachery Ramsey (Devin) of Mt. Vernon, Ky. George Durham of Lexington, Ky.

Russell was loved by his many grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons: Timmy and Mark Ramsey; brothers: Ben, Carl Edward, Floyd James Ramsey; and sister: Rosella.

Visitation for Mr. Russell Ramsey will be Sunday, November 22nd, 2015 from 5-8 pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 23rd, 2015 at 12 noon at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro.  Eugene Gentry officiating; burial will follow in the Logsdon Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Ky.
