Ronnie Barnes

Ronnie Barnes, age 64, of Somerset, Ky. passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Jean Waddle Cancer Center in Somerset. 

He was born on May 29, 1959 in Mt. Vernon, Ky., a son of the late Herman and Mary McFerron Barnes.  He was of the Baptist faith and found great joy in spending time with family and friends, having an occasional cigar and many cups of coffee.

Those left to celebrate his life are his daughter, Angel (Richard) Dunlavy of Somerset, Ky;  his grandchild, Miles Troxtell .  His brothers: Donnie Barnes of Brodhead, Ky;  Tony Barnes of Brodhead,Ky. and Earnie Barnes of Mt. Vernon, Ky;  his sisters: Minnie Hopkins of Brodhead, Ky; Carolyn Rose of Waynesburg, Ky; and Donna Northern of Mt. Vernon, Ky;  Very special friend Tina Miller, as well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Robert, Gerald , Bennie and Jesse Barnes. An infant sisters, Joyce and Lois Barnes.

Visitation for Mr. Ronnie Barnes will be Friday, April 26, 2024 from 6-9PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 1PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bros. Marvin Cromer and Zandell Hasty officiating.  Burial will follow in Ottawa Cemetry,
