Charles Gregory Lear

Mr. Charles Gregory Lear, age 75, passed away Wed. August 1, 2018 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY.

He was born on December 28, 1942, in Brindle Ridge,  the son of the late Robert Lee Lear, Sr. and Cora Fugett Lear. He had been an employee at Bluegrass Army Depot, and attended Hickory Grove Pentecostal Church. He found great joy in collecting guns & knives, American history, riding golf cart with grandson, Gregory, and drinking coffee with his friends. Greg had been a member of the VFW. He proudly served his Country in the U.S. Armed Services.

Those left to celebrate his life are: his children: Angela Gamble (Bobby) of Berea, and step children: Michael and Ricky Agee. His brother: Robert Lear Jr. (Johnnna) of Berea; his sister: Jenny Stevens of Lexington; step sister: Patricia (Tommy) Miller of Mt. Vernon and Robin (Donnie) Carpenter of Mt. Vernon; his step mother: Betty Lear of Brodhead. His grandchildren: Michael Gamble (Kelly) of Lancaster; Bradon Gamble of Danville; Megan Gamble of Berea and Amber Gamble of Mt. Vernon;  and special friends, Wayne Wilmott and Marie Sizemore. As well as  a host of nieces/nephews, friends an neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives Wanda and Sylvia and step son, Randal Agee.

Visitation for Mr. Greg Lear will be Monday, August 6th, 2018 from 11AM until  Funeral Service time at 1PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Randal Adams officiating.  Burial will follow in Briarfield Cemetery.
