Dana Ruth Sargent Powell age 39, of Brodhead, KY, daughter of Matt Royce Sargent and Phyllis Jean Sargent passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at University of Kentucky - Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

Dana was born on March 13th, 1979. She was of the Baptist faith and was a “speak her mind” kind of girl, who loved her children dearly. She enjoyed watching tv, drinking Mtn Dew, eating Hershey’s and just relaxing. She was always giving someone a smile and cutting up.

Those left to celebrate her life, besides her parents are: her Ex-husband Eric Powell, her children; Callie Jean Helton (Alex) of Berea, KY, and Ethan Royce Tillery of Brodhead, KY, her brother; Matthew Jonas Sargent (Sharonda) of Brodhead, KY, her sister; Shanda Lynn Irvin (Jim) of Brodhead, KY, her nieces and nephews; Constance Proctor (Brandon), Zachary Irvin, Thomas Foster, Hunter Sargent, and Portia Sargent; one great niece; Avery Proctor.

She was preceded in death by one child; Matthew Amos Powell, and her Grandparents; Sherman “Danny” Sargent and Ruth, and Junior York and Ruth.

Visitation for Dana Ruth Sargent Powell will be Tuesday, July 17th, 2018 at 5 -9 P.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals. Funeral Services for Dana Ruth Sargent Powell will be Wednesday, July 18th, 2018 at 2pm. at the Marvin E. Owens Home For Funerals Chapel with Bro. Vester Alexander and Bro. Ron Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Saylor Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be; Eric Powell, Jake Tillery, Thomas Foster, Hunter Sargent, Zachary Irvin, and Sherman Collins with Honorary Casket Bearers; Gary Burdette and Donald Collins.
