Ila Wade Lambert Taylor, age 91, of Brodhead, KY; departed this life on November 9, 2018, at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, KY.

She was born on March 2, 1927 in Brodhead, KY, to the late Thomas and Hallie Parkerson Frith. She was a member of Brindle Ridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed her family, UK basketball, quilting, puzzles, Atlanta Braves baseball, and collecting frogs.

Those left to celebrate her life are her daughter: Myrna Childress of Brodhead, KY; two step-sons: Connie (Nona) Taylor of Brodhead, KY; and Coy (Linda) Taylor of Brodhead, KY; her grandchildren: Kyle Michael (Melanie) Childress of Brodhead, KY, Jeffrey Neil (Ashley) Childress of Georgetown, KY, and seven step-grandchildren; her great-grandchildren: Jack and Layla Childress, and Camden and Gray Childress; and her sister: Lois Mulcahy of Georgetown, KY, as well as several friends and neighbors.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Lambert, her second husband, Hershel Taylor, and her son-in-law, Mike Childress.

Visitation for Ila will be Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals from 6-9 pm. Funeral services will be Monday, November 12, 2018 at 2pm at Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel, with Bro. Buford Parkerson officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Steve Childress, Shannon Parkerson, Coy Taylor, Connie Taylor, David Coffey, and Eric Benge.
