Jackie Adams Obituary

Jackie Lee Adams, age 88 of Fairland, Ind. passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at his residence.

He was born February 12, 1931 in Brodhead, Ky., a son of the late Alfred and Bertha (Moore) Adams. On November 8, 1952, he married Wilma Jane Coulter, and she preceded him in death on March 18, 2015. He served his country in the US Air Force, and retired from Navistar. Jackie was a member of Fairland Christian Church. He found enjoyment in playing guitar; playing with the Shepherd Brothers band at nursing homes and senior citizen centers in several counties.

Those left to celebrate his life are his children: Tina Geyer of Indianapolis; Sherry (Bryan) Neely of Knox, and Sheila Sego of Indianapolis. Brothers: Butch (Sandy) Adams, and Ronnie (Linda) Adams. Sister: Carolyn (Billy) McKinney. Grandchildren: Holly Gibson, April Allen, Kristia Pollock, John Gibson, Glynn Geyer, Hannah and Daniel Sego. Great grandchildren: Colten Corley, Brooks and Ethan Allen. As well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Wilma; four brothers and two sisters.

Visitation for Mr. Jackie Lee Adams will be Wed. June 19, 2019 from 4-8PM at Freeman Family Funeral Home in Shelbyville, Ind.

Funeral services will be conducted Thurs. June 20, 2019 at 10AM at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Les Bearden officiating. Burial will follow in Fairland Cemetery in Fairland.
