Jennifer Anne (Gentry) Cash

Mrs. Jennifer Anne (Gentry) Cash, age 54 of Brodhead, wife of Mike, passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Jennifer was a loving and devoted wife and mother who was born on October 13, 1965 in Berea, KY, to the late Joel “Buster” and Jane Gentry.  She married Michael Cash on July 22, 1988, and from that union came one son, Michael Acton Cash.  She was a technology assistant for Mt. Vernon Elementary, a SRNA and medication nurse for Sowder Nursing Home, an employee of the Health Department, and a Pharmacy Tech for Rockcastle Hospital before staying home to care for and enjoy her time with their son, Acton.  She was a member of the Brodhead Baptist Church, enjoyed family, canning, cooking, Vacation Bible School, and was active in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. 

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband:  Michael Terry Cash; her son:  Michael Acton Cash; her brother:  David Edward (Patsy) Morgan of Mt. Vernon, KY; her sisters:  Rita (Henry) Hayes of Brodhead, KY, and Beverly Sharon (Bill) Griffin of Carthage, OH; her father and mother-in-law:  Carlos (MaDonna) Cash; and her nieces and nephews:  Bobby Griffin, Matthew Hayes, Tawni Williams,  Satica Morgan, Sonia Morgan, Larissa Tucker, and Melissa McGuire.

Services for Mrs. Jennifer Cash will be held at the Brodhead Baptist Church.  Visitation will be Monday, October 21, 2019 from 6-9pm and Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 9 am until time for the funeral service at 11am, with Bros. Ralph Baker, Luther Allen, and Buford Parkerson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oakhill Cemetery.
