Jimmy Houk Obituary

Mr. Jimmy Houk, age 62 of Brodhead, KY passed away Wednesday, September 12th, 2018 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

Jimmy was born to the late Chester Ray and Iva Mae Lunsford Houk on May 30th, 1956. Jimmy attended Hickory Grove Pentecostal Church. He was a Emergency Medical Technician for 24 years. Jimmy enjoyed playing the guitar and singing.

Those left to celebrate his life are his children: Nikki Houk of Livingston, KY; Jessica Layne (Frank) of Ashland, KY; and Charles Jeffrey Houk of Ashland, KY; his grandchildren: Aaliyha Blackburn, Hayley Layne, Chase Layne, Maddie Layne and Levi Bennett.

His siblings; Leroy Houk and Jean of Indianapolis, IN; Russell Houk and Norma of Brodhead, KY; Earl Houk of Brodhead, KY; Terrell Houk of Brodhead, KY; Cecil Houk and Kathleen of Brodhead, KY; Bonnie Winn and Gary of Rockville, IN.

Besides his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by a brother: Charles Houk and two sisters: Lorene Preston and Betty Adams.

Visitation for Jimmy Houk will be Saturday, September 15th, 2018 from 12 – 2 P.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals and Funeral at 2P.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals chapel with Bro. Randal Adams Officiating. Burial will follow in the Maretburg Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his funeral fund.
