John Cotton Obituary

Mr. John Edward Cotton, age 64, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away at his home in Cincinnati on December 24, 2018.

John was born a son of the late Leander “Lee” Cotton and the late Nellie Alice Tyree Cotton, in Mount Vernon, KY, on December 13, 1954. He proudly served his county through the United States Army for several years. He was of the Holiness Faith and found great joy in reading, fishing , and riding motorcycles.

Those left to celebrate his life are his son: Curtis Lee Cotton, and Rachel of Bowling Green, KY; a granddaughter: Sydney Schuyler; his brothers: Dan Cotton, Jesse Cotton, Boyd Cotton (Donna Bullock) all of Mount Vernon, KY, and Dwight Cotton of Manchester, Ohio; his sisters: Mary Gadd, Betty (Estill) Cromer and Nannie (Bo) Childress all of Mount Vernon, KY; as well as a host of friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 2 siblings; James Cotton and Arnold Jackson Cotton.

Services for Mr. Cotton will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals beginning with the visitation from 12 – 1pm, followed by the funeral at 1pm, with Bro. Clyde Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.
