John Taylor Obituary

Mr. John Robert Taylor, age 75, of Brodhead, KY, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Sunday, December 16, 2018.

John was born October 19, 1943, in Crab Orchard, KY, a son of the late Robert Estill Taylor, and the late Ruby Cash Taylor. He was united in marriage to his wife, Effie Belle Taylor on November 21, 1964, and of that marriage came one child Tonya Taylor. He was a faithful and devoted member of the New Hope First Church of God. He enjoyed guns and hunting, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife, Effie Belle Taylor of Brodhead, KY; his daughter: Tonya Taylor Adams and Tommy of Brodhead, KY; a grandchild: Todd Branscum; two step-grandchildren: Samantha Gray and Daniel of Mount Vernon, KY, and Sarah Robinson and Coy of Mount Vernon, KY; three step-great-grandchildren: Abby, Ellie and William; a brother: Wayne Taylor and Debi of Louisville, KY; a sister: Mildred Owens and John of Liberty Township, Ohio; a special sister in-law: Hazel Brown of Crab Orchard, KY; as well as a host of many special nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Robert Estill Taylor, and Ruby Cash Taylor.

Services for Mr. John Robert (Bobby) Taylor will be Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals in Brodhead, KY, starting with the visitation from 11am – 2pm, followed by the funeral at 2pm, with Robert Rice and Harold Harness officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Terry Thompson, Wayne Brown, Carl Blevins, Doug Prewitt, Coy Taylor, and Brandon Brown. Honorary casket bearers will be Adam Burdine, Dean Cash, Richard Cash, Jaarad Taylor, Wyatt Taylor Todd Branscum, and Danny Ping.
