June Alice Kidwell

Mrs. June Alice Kidwell, age 68, of Orlando, departed this life Tuesday, August 1st, 2017 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY. June was born on November 24th, 1948 in Rockcastle County, KY. to the late Phillip Fred and Margaret (Hensley) Helton. She had worked for Mt. Vernon Plastics, TTAI as a welder for 10 years and for the American Greeting Company in the Candle Factory for 10 years.  She was a member of the Victory Temple Holiness Church and she enjoyed fishing, cooking and playing with her grandchildren.

Those left to celebrate her life are: her children, Alvin Flyod Knuckles of Mt. Vernon, KY., and Shaketha Dawn (William) Sammons of Artemus, KY.; her grandchildren Kayla Lashay Knuckles, Joshua Michael Lee Sparks, & Izac Andrew Levi Sammons; her great-grandson Robert Lucas Vanhoose, JR.; her brother Phillip “Vic” (Diane) Helton Jr. of Brodhead, KY.; her sister Ruth Hayes of Mt. Vernon, KY.; as well as many friends and neighbors.

Besides her parents, June was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Knuckles; her children, Sarah Jane Knuckles & John Henry Knuckles; and her brother Truman Reams.

Visitation for June will be held on Thursday, August 3rd, 2017 from 6pm-9pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

The Funeral Service will be conducted at 1PM on Friday, August 4th, 2017 at the funeral home with Bro. Allen Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in Briarfield Cemetery.
