Kenneth Himes Obituary

Mr. Kenneth David Himes, age 57, of Paint Lick, KY, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Ky.

Kenny was born June 25, 1961, in Berea KY, a son of the late Rovie Himes, and Linda Fish Abney. He was of the Baptist faith; he had an all-around love for being outdoors. He found great joy in fishing, but he especially loved teaching his great nieces and nephews to fish. He was an employee of the CXS Railroad for several years.

Those left to celebrate his life are his mother: Linda Fish Abney of Paint Lick, KY; his sisters: Donna Day and Danny of Paint Lick, KY, and Lori Schrodel and Byron of Mount Sterling, KY; his nieces and nephews: Amanda, Carina, Ashley, Johnathan, and Aaron; great nieces and great nephews: Ethan, Clayton, Blake, Addison, David, Ella, and Jacob; as well as a host of friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his father: Rovie Himes; and his grandparents: Sherman and Dovie Himes, and Richard and Dora Fish.

Services for Kenny will be conducted on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals, beginning with the visitation from 11am – 2pm, followed by the funeral at 2pm, with Bro. Shannon Parkerson and Bro. Buford Parkerson, officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnetta Cemetery.
