Larry Cook Obituary

Mr. Larry Eugene Cook, age 67, of Brodhead, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.

Larry was born a son of the late Henry Harrison Cook, and the late Laura “Demi” Allen Cook, on September 13, 1951, in Mount Vernon, KY. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed his family and friends, playing music and singing, being a DJ for Blue at Heart Sound Company, cars and working on vehicles.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife: Sylvia Sue Hensley Cook, of Mount Vernon, KY; his children: Angelia Cook of Berea, KY, Jamie Alcorn (Joseph) of Mount Vernon, and Jody Hayes (Melvin) of Mount Vernon, KY; his grandchildren: Lyndsey Cook, Madison Hayes, Cole Powell, and Esme Alcorn; two brothers: Stanley Cook (Tonya) of Livingston, KY, and Dale Cook (Tobie) of Waco, KY; one sister: Edna Turner of Lebanon, VA; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry Harrison Cook, and Laura “Demi” Allen Cook.

Visitation for Mr. Larry Cook will be Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 6pm-9pm. Funeral will be Friday, January 11, 2019, at 1pm; both will be held at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals, with Bro. Tommy Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Cook Cemetery.
