Lawrence "Doc" Hoskins

Mr. Lawrence "Doc" Hoskins, age 86, of Brodhead, Kentucky, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 27th, 2018 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY; the son of the late Charley Hoskins and Mary Langham Hoskins. He was born December 1st, 1931 in Crab Orchard, Kentucky.

Doc was a construction carpenter, who enjoyed fishing, watching UK Wildcats, visiting with his grandchildren, and great grandchildren,and loved to travel, and spending time with friends.

Those left to celebrate his life are: his son, James Henry Hoskins and wife  Lisa Kathern of Berea, KY; one brother: Warren Curtis Hoskins of Clarksville, IN and one sister: Juanita Gordon of New Albany, IN;  ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one daughter in-law: Liz Hoskins as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by:a son: Lawrence Stanley Hoskins;  brothers: Buster Hoskins, Hubert Hoskins and Elige Hoskins, sisters, Ruby Hoskins, Louise Pospil, Margie Hogette, Eva Hoskins, Sarah Rost, Lora Stanley, Henrietta Hornsby; one great-grandchild: Ethan Allen Ceicel.

A Visitation service for Lawrence "Doc" Hoskins will be held on Friday, March 2nd, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at the Marvin E.Owens Home for Funerals.

A Memorial service for Lawrence "Doc" Hoskins will be Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at 1 pm with Bro. Randy Cromer officiating.
