Leonard Desjardins Obituary

Mr. Leonard George Desjardins, age 89, of Crab Orchard, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Vanceburg Rehabilitation and Care, In Vanceburg, KY.

Leonard was born on June 2nd, 1929, in Winsor Ontario, Canada, to the late Ernest Felix Desjardins and the late Mary Matilda Desjardins. On October 16, 1976, he was united in marriage to his wife, Virginia McMullen Desjardins.

Those left to celebrate his life are: his wife, Virginia Desjardins; one child, Leonard Desjardins of Canada; step grand-children; Valerie McCartney of Toledo, OH, Elizabeth Caudill and Larry of Liberty, KY; as well as his step grand-children: Carolynn, Chelsea, Tabitha, and Tommy; and a host of friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Zajac.

Services for Mr. Desjardins will be Wednesday, September 19, 2018, beginning with the visitation at 12pm-2pm, funeral at 2pm, both at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals. Burial will follow in Fairview Church of Christ Cemetery, in Willailla. Casket bearers for Mr. Desjardins will be: Larry Caudill, Wayne Elder, Don Long, Claude Reynolds, Roy Reynolds, and Robert Payne.
