Mrs. Lillian Maxine Cash Daugherty, age 94, of Brodhead, widow of Junior Daugherty , passed away Monday, January 14th, 2019, at the Terrace in Berea, KY, surrounded by her family.
Maxine was born a daughter of the late Homer Cash, and the late Cordia Singleton Cash on November 1st, 1924. She was a former employee of Cowden Manufacturing at Stanford, KY; for eleven years. She also worked at Joe Browns Grocery for ten years.
She was a very active member of the Ottawa Baptist Church, she enjoyed her family, gardening and flowers. She also enjoyed making fried apple pies for special people.
Those left to celebrate her life are her children: Edward Daugherty (Patsy) of Richmond, KY; Dr. Larry Daugherty (Susan) of Brodhead, KY; grandchildren: Lorie Daugherty of Richmond, KY; Ashley Abney (Austin) of Raleigh, NC; Andrew Daugherty (Christina) of Berea, KY; Emily Dyehouse (John) of Brodhead, KY; two brothers: C. Paul Cash (Debbie) of Brodhead, KY and Carlos Cash (MaDonna) of Brodhead, KY; two sisters: Willene Burton of Brodhead, KY and Joann Brown (Clinton) of Brodhead, KY; Great grandchildren: Drew Dyehouse of Brodhead, Ky, Ella Dyehouse of Brodhead, Ky, and Myles Abney of Raleigh N.C along with many nephews, nieces and cousins, as well as a host of friends and neighbors.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Junior Daugherty, and brothers: Gaffer Cash and Walter Cash.
Visitation for Mrs. Maxine Daugherty Cash will be Friday, January 18th, 2019, from 6pm – 9pm, and Saturday, January 19th, 2019 from 11am – 2pm. Funeral will be Saturday, January 19th, 2019, at 2pm, with Bro. Michael Hail and Rev. Austin Abney officiating. Services will be held at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals. Burial will follow in the Ottawa Cemetery.
