Oscar Day Obituary

Mr. Oscar William Day, age 71, of Brodhead, husband of Ruby, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the Rockcastle Hospital.

William was born on June 15, 1946 in Brodhead, KY., a son of the late Oscar and Alice Day. He had been a Road Construction worker for many years; was of the Baptist Faith. He found great joy in farming and woodworking. On September 19, 1970 he was united in marriage to Ruby Price, and they enjoyed forty seven years together.

Those left to celebrate his life are: his wife, Ruby Day of Brodhead, KY; his brothers: Joe Day and wife Janet of Brodhead, KY; Chester Day and wife Paula of Brodhead, KY; and James Day of Brodhead, KY; his sister: Margaret Barnett of Brodhead, KY. Special friends, Wilbur and Tammy Harrison; As well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Teddy and Charles Day; and sister: Nannie Johnson.

Visitation for Mr. William Day will be Friday, March 16, 2018 from 6-9PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 1PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Tracy Valentine officiating; burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery.
