Patsy Helton Obituary

Mrs. Patricia Ann  (Patsy) Helton, age 70 , of Brodhead,  widow of Alan, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at her residence.

She was born on February 22, 1948, a daughter of the late Evans Patrick (E.P.)  Chandler and Opal Cummins Chandler.  Patsy had been an employee of Cintas Manufacturing for over fifteen years, and also worked as a nurses aide at Nursing Home in Ohio.  She was of the Baptist faith, and found great joy in her grandchildren, gardening, especially flowers; and fishing.  On July 20, 1965 she was united in marriage to Alan Helton, Sr., and they enjoyed 42 years together, prior to his passing in 2007.  From their union came three children: Kelly Ann, and twins Michelle Jean and Alan Curtis.

Those left to celebrate her life are: her children: Kelly Ann Schwartz of Brodhead, Ky; Michelle Jean Saylor (Rick) of Crab Orchard, Ky; and Alan Curtis Helton, Jr. (LaVonda Shawn) of Berea, Ky;  her grandchildren: Nikki Ann Hacker, Brandon Alan Cameron, Steven Duff, Jr., Anna Michelle Schwartz, Meghin Paige Helton, and DeNault Huel Schwartz, III.  Her great grandchildren: Charles Alan Bailey, Madison Rachelle Cromer, Hunter Wayne Cameron, Harleigh Elece Cameron and Aiden Wayne Hinds. Her sister: Linda Rose Collins (Leroy) of Savannah, GA. Her nieces & nephew: Patrick (Becky) Collins, Kim (Jerome) Smart and Eric Collins. As well as a host of friends and neighbors.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Cody Alan Helton.

A memorial service for Patsy Helton will be held Saturday, May 19th, 2018 at 7PM at the Marv in E. Owens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Shelby Reynolds officiating.  A visitation will be prior to services from 6-7PM.
